Dr. John Schofield, Ph.D

With a Ph.D. in mathematics and over 10 years of teaching experience in secondary schools, John specialises in A-level Mathematics and TMUA preparation. He’s worked extensively across all major exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR.

Tutoring Experience

Since completing his doctorate in 2015, John has built over four years of dedicated tutoring experience. His lessons focus on identifying and improving weaker areas, followed by guided practice using exam-style questions. Homework assignments are tailored to reinforce understanding between sessions.

Navid Moghadas

Navid is a fully qualified maths teacher with a 1st class mathematics degree and a postgraduate degree in maths education. He has over a decade of tutoring experience and became a full-time online tutor in 2024.

Tutoring Experience

Navid supports GCSE and A-level students across all major exam boards—including Edexcel, AQA, OCR—and international exams like IGCSE and IAL. He also prepares students for university entrance exams like TMUA. His experience spans local schools in Norfolk and top independent schools in London, as well as international learners from the Middle East and Asia.

Navid’s flexible tutoring adapts to each student’s needs. He emphasizes using skills in varied contexts to deepen understanding and includes retrieval practice to strengthen memory. Exam technique is embedded throughout his sessions.

Outside of tutoring, Navid enjoys board games and hiking around Norwich.
